Welcome to Little Barn Learning
Hi! I’m Kaylie Williams—and yes, I really did live and teach in a little barn!
With 14 years of experience helping children become confident, capable readers, I bring a blend of warmth, expertise, and proven strategies to every lesson. I’m a licensed Reading Specialist and Special Education teacher with advanced training in dyslexia-specific interventions. I’m currently undergoing certification as an Educational Diagnostician- so I can diagnose children with learning and developmental disabilities.
I’ve had the joy of working with students from various backgrounds—general education, special education, gifted and talented, dyslexic, autistic, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, sensory challenges, and more. My goal is always the same: to help kids unlock their potential and discover the joy of reading.
I hold a Bachelor’s in Education from The University of Texas and a Master’s in Reading Education from Vanderbilt’s Peabody College of Education. My Educational Diagnostician certification program is through Lamar University.
The Little Barn Learning program offers engaging, personalized online or in-person (The Woodlands, TX), reading support in a 1:1 or 1:3 ratio, designed to meet your child’s unique needs. Reading comes easy for some. But for others, it takes lots of skilled practice. I am an expert in teaching reading. I've been specifically teaching reading for 10 years, and I have had hundreds of hours of reading-specific training. It's also what I love to do. Whether your child has dyslexia, ADD, ADHD, speech/language disorders, Autism, or is typically developing- I look forward to helping them grow.

Each child has individualized needs, and also benefits from the collective energy and influence of his/her peers. I have options for both 1:1 and small group tutoring. Whether you choose 1:1 or small group, know I have pored over the curriculum, and made distinct choices on how to implement a program that will allow your child to reach some ambitious reading goals.

Hesitant to consider online learning? I understand. But you’ll find your student will captivated and engaged with the live teaching in all lessons. We use "ClassIn," which allows parents to access information about your child, photos from lessons, and daily feedback from the teacher.

Did you know feedback is one of the MOST critical parts of effective learning? As a teacher, it's my job to provide specific and timely feedback to children, but I will also provide daily feedback to you as a parent. Look forward to receiving information on your child's progress DAILY.

Tailor-made curriculum that meets the individual needs of each child. It takes an expert to know what to teach, how to teach it, and how to respond when kids "get it" and when they don't. After the initial assessment, Kaylie designs a curriculum based on your child’s needs.
